The xx had a blast during their seven-night run at the O2 Brixton Academy during the trio’s Night + Day Festival. The proof is in the clips of their impressive collaborations with everyone from Florence + the Machine‘s Florence Welch to dance diva Robyn, Cat Power and Savages singer Jehnny Beth.
The residency ran from March 8 through March 15, with opening sets from a variety of friends and up-and-coming acts (in order): Sampha, Joy Orbison, Kelela, Ben UFO and Beatrice Dillon, Robyn, RMX Live + Benji B, Francis and the Lights + Floating Points (DJ set), Cat Power (solo), Jehnny Beth (solo piano), Siren DJs, The London Contemporary Orchestra Performs Mica Levi + Daniel Brandt (DJ set), Floating Points and Gilles Peterson.
The English band closed out the historic run on Wednesday night with a glitchy live remix version of Welch’s “You’ve Got the Love” that drew howls from the room.

Tuesday nights’ show (March 14) found xx singer/guitarist Madley Croft joining Cat Power’s Chan Marshall for a run through Marshall’s “Maybe Not” from CP’s 2003 album You Are Free.
On Monday night (March 13) they were joined by Savages’ Beth, who sang the XX’s “Infinity” with the trio.
On Monday night we were joined by our dear friend @jehnnybeth from Savages. She told us once that she loved our song ‘Infinity’ so we thought it would be fun to invite her up to sing it! One thing we aspire to do with Night + Day is to bring people together, from all different types of music, so to have her join us felt very special and it was a lot of fun adding distortion to everything at the end! Thank you so much Jehnny Beth for bringing your energy onstage, we had so much fun with you! xx The xx
Saturday night (March 11) they crushed a deep house version of “With Every Heartbeat” with Robyn.
