It’s been five years since Toronto-based R&B star The Weeknd released his debut studio album Kiss Land, and he’s celebrating the anniversary with a limited-edition apparel line inspired by the album’s gritty, Japanophile design.
Kiss Land peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. It’s a dystopian collection of leaned-out sex jams exploring the loneliness, emptiness and sinful extravagance of life on the road in support of his breakthrough indie three-parter Trilogy. It featured fan-favorite hits “Belong To The World,” “Adaptation,” the title track “Kiss Land” and “Live For” featuring Drake.
The album comes to life once more in a black-heavy line of long-sleeves, dad hats, t-shirts and hoodies. Face masks, keychains and numbered MEDICOM TOY BE@RBRICKS round out the collection covered in cute, signature Red Panda Cats or decked out in Japanese kanji. The series also debuts a double-vinyl reissue on seaglass colored wax to match the black, white and teal color palette.
The anniversary Kiss Land collection is on sale now on The Weeknd’s online store. Check out some of the look book shots featuring merch items below.
