We’re glad you came, The Wanted. The U.K.-Irish boy band announced on their website on Wednesday that they’ll be taking a break following the upcoming “Word of Mouth” tour. Paired with an announcement of a new video for single “Glow in the Dark,” the group says they’re excited to explore other opportunities, but insist this is not goodbye.
“This tour will be their last for a while as Tom, Max, Jay, Siva and Nathan have collectively decided to take time to pursue personal endeavours following the tour’s conclusion,” the statement reads. “The band wants to stress to their fans that they will continue on as The Wanted and look forward to many successful projects together in the future. They thank their fans for their continued love and support and look forward to seeing them on tour.”

The “Mouth” tour kicks off Feb. 8 in Germany and reaches North America on April 8 in Huntington, NY, wrapping up May 17 in Shawnee, Okla.
The group — Max George, Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness, Tom Parker and Nathan Sykes — formed in 2009 and are managed by Scooter Braun. Their second U.S. album, “Word of Mouth,” debuted and peaked at No. 17 on the Billboard 200, spending just two weeks on the chart. It has sold 34,000 in the U.S.

A single from the album, “We Own the Night,” spent one week on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, peaking at No. 94. The group’s biggest success came with their breakthrough single “Glad You Came,” which spent 37 weeks on the Hot 100, topping out at No. 3 in March of 2012. That single preceded the group’s self-title debut release, which hit No. 7 on the Billboard 200 later that year. It has sold 207,000 copies.
While their success was limited in the U.S., The Wanted were much bigger chart stars back home, notching three top 10 albums on the Official U.K. Albums chart, and 12 top 40 singles, including two No. 1s (“All Time Low” and “Glad You Came”).
