When you’re on Team Miley, you get way more than singing tips from The Voice coach Miley Cyrus.
The Voice season 13 contestant Janice Freeman took to Instagram Stories on Tuesday to tell fans about how Cyrus helped her family far beyond the show, saying the pop star helped them find housing and then paid their security deposit as well as six months’ rent.

“Miley, you are my dawg, like my best friend, and I will defend you to the bitter end,” Freeman says in the post.
The two became incredibly close during the show, making for an emotional exit when Freeman was eliminated in November, right before the top 10.
Cyrus told Freeman at the time of her elimination: “You are a fighter, you are a warrior, you are a role model and, more than any of that, you are The Voice. I am in complete shock, I love you so much.”
