The Voice coaches John Legend, Kelly Clarkson, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani reunite for another season this month, and to celebrate being together again, they covered Bob Marley’s “One Love.”
In the outdoor New York performance, Legend stumbles upon a piano in the middle of the sidewalk with an all-too-enticing “Play Me” note attached to it. That’s when Clarkson pops out from her upstairs window and lends her voice. Shelton walks out the door, whipping out his guitar, and his girlfriend Stefani joins the party of four. But their labor of love only multiples when everyone from the apartment complex sings and plays along for a socially distant neighborhood jamboree.
Stefani will return to her spinning red throne and replace Nick Jonas, who left after one season of coaching. Carson Daly will reprise his role as the show’s host. Season 19 of The Voice premieres Monday, Oct. 19, at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
Watch The Voice coaches come together again, but safely remain apart, for the heart-warming performance ahead of the singing competition series’ new season.
