Peace Arch Entertainment Group, the producers of Showtime’s “The Tudors,” signed a deal with Canadian music publisher Ole to administer the music rights to all of their film and television properties.
Other titles in Peace Arch’s stable include the upcoming film “Winged Creatures,” starring Kate Beckinsale, Guy Pearce and Dakota Fanning and Uwe Boll’s current release “In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale.”
“Music rights have emerged as yet another exceptional revenue opportunity stemming from the world-class content that Peace Arch has produced over the years,” says Peace Arch’s president and COO John Flock. “We believe that partnering with Ole will allow us to further exploit these opportunities on a global stage.”
Among Ole’s other clients are Nelvana, Shaftesbury, Ellis Entertainment and The National Film Board of Canada.
“We’re thrilled to add Peace Arch Entertainment to our list of high-profile television and film production clients that rely on Ole’s proven administrative expertise and global connections to collect their music publishing royalties,” says Ed Killin, senior VP of acquisitions.
