The Piano Guys, known for their classical twists on today’s biggest hits, have taken on Bastille and Marshmello’s “Happier.”
The duo mashed Marshmello’s melody with composer Antonin Dvo?ák’s String Quartet No. 12 in F Major “American” to create an uplifting, cinematic feel to the piece.
“Antonín Dvo?ák’s American String Quartet really opened up a whole new world of music to me,” said The Piano Guys’ Steven Sharp Nelson in a press statement. “Hearing and performing the intricate energy of some of classical music’s greatest works in such a fundamental setting, where four musicians literarily depend on each other to complete the chord, really catalyzed my desire to compose music. And it’s only fitting, because after experiencing Dvo?ák, as a cellist, I was much ‘Happier’.”
