The Kardashian clan released a home video for the world to see, but don’t expect footage of a wholesome family get-together. Instead, the Kardashians filmed their own lip synch rendition of Katy Perry’s Billboard Hot 100-topping hit “E.T.” on a recent family vacation. Watch below.
On May 31, Khloe Kardashian happily announced on her blog, “I’m so excited to finally present to you the Kardashian/Jenner/Odom/Disick/Humphries family music video.”
Straddling a very thin and confusing line between sickeningly cute and obnoxious, the family members take turns making love to the camera against a tropical backdrop. The music and footage don’t exactly sync to create a convincing lip dub experience in the clip, which was edited by twins Kylie and Kendall Jenner (who often create lip dubs of popular songs with friends).
If you’re able to make it past Kris Jenner’s opening shimmying action, don’t expect a dub of Kanye West’s verse to appear at the end — the family kindly spares the world of any failed rapping attempt by sticking to the original version.
