The Cure will come blazing back this year with their 14th studio album, tentatively titled “4:14 Scream,” as well as a new ‘Trilogy’-style live show in which the rock veterans will perform three albums in full.
“4:14 Scream” (if that title holds) will be Robert Smith and co.’s first proper full-length since 2008’s “4:13 Dream,” which has sold 97,000 copies to date, according to Nielsen SoundScan. A press release reads that the new album was recorded at the same time as “4:13 Dream,” and although “4:14 Scream” does not have a release date, it is due later this year.

More exciting Cure news: the band will be touring the world this year and releasing a set of live concert DVDs. So far, the only dates announced will take place at London’s Royal Albert Hall on Mar. 28 and 29, as part of the Teenage Cancer Trust benefit concerts.
The upcoming ‘Trilogy’ shows will include the entirety of 1984’s “The Top,” 1985’s “The Head on the Door” and 1987’s “Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me,” the latter of which features one of the Cure’s most enduring hits, “Just Like Heaven.” In 2002, the band played shows running through “Pornography,” “Disintegration” and “Bloodflowers,” and in 2011, the Cure played “Seventeen Seconds,” “Faith” and “Three Imaginary Boys” live.
The Cure’s last live release was the “Bestival Live 2011” album in 2011. The group spent the past two years touring areas like Latin America, Europe and Asia, along with headlining North American festivals like Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits last year.
