The Cure will celebrate the 30th anniversary of their classic Disintegration album this spring with a series of Australian performances.
The band will play four dates at the Sydney Opera House in May, where they will perform the 1989 album in its entirety. The venue’s website says that this will be “the world premiere of these 30th anniversary performances,” hinting that other events or shows to mark the occasion may be on the way.
The Sydney shows will take place May 24-25 and May 27-28, and fans can enter here for the opportunity to buy tickets. If they’re successful, they can purchase tickets beginning Feb. 28.
Back in December, frontman Robert Smith revealed that the band will be releasing their first new album in over a decade to coincide with their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction.
