Ever since the grand success of “Closer,” The Chainsmokers have been on a real love kick. Ballads are the new bangers, after all, and the sound of the duo’s latest song definitely has the aura of ooey-gooey romanticism.
Singing member Drew Taggart’s opening line “we were staying in Paris to get away from your parents” references the French capital that is known for being quite the amorous getaway. “If we go down, we go down together / they’ll say you could do anything, they’ll say I was clever,” is how the next lyrical tease goes.
Is your appetite whet for more? The duo recently tweeted about premiering a new single at their Los Angeles Convention Center show on Dec. 30, so you may not have to wait too long.
