It looks like a majority of The Chainsmokers fans didn’t heed the warning on the dance-pop powerhouse’s debut studio album, Memories…Do Not Open. The LP, which includes the hit Coldplay collab “Something Just Like This,” has been certified platinum by the RIAA.
“Counting our blessings everyday! MDNO album just went platinum!” the duo made up of Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall wrote on Twitter today (Sept. 6). “We love you guys so much! More TCS music very soon.”
The RIAA website confirms the announcement — Memories hit platinum on Aug. 25. And the news follows a long line of certifications for the duo, which stretches back to their 2014 single, “#Selfie.” The Chainsmokers count eight platinum-certified singles among their catalog, with two (“Paris” and “Something Just Like This”) appearing on Memories.
