The Chainsmokers are setting up to make 2018 a big year. The duo kicked it off with “Sick Boy,” a dark tune that sees the duo tackle a new electro-rock sound. Now, there’s footage of a yet-unreleased song from their recent set in Prague, and it seems to go just as hard.
It’s lyrically quite introspective: Singer Drew Taggart talks the downfalls of fame, from being popular and alone to being the object of derision. Musically, it burns bright with a big electronic hook that fits the dance floor or the radio. The fan-caught footage shows Taggart running up and down the stage between blasts of fire and confetti. I’s a good way to celebrate The Chainsmokers’ first headline show in the country.
No word on when The Chainsmokers will release the tune, but you can listen to it in full in the video below. You’re gonna want to stick around for the big finish.
