K-pop boy band The Boyz appeared at KCON 2019 New York over the first weekend of July. While backstage at Madison Square Garden, the members of the act — Sangyeon, Jacob, Younghoon, Hyunjae, Juyeon, Kevin, New, Q, Ju Haknyeon, Hwall, Sunwoo, and Eric — sat down to play a quick game of “First, Best, Last, Worst.”
The group, which features several members who speak English, shared some of their stories about when they first felt famous. According to Eric, even prior to the release of their first single in December 2017 he had a surprising encounter with a fan on the subway while heading to school one day, while Kevin said it was when he saw an article on The Boyz’ latest single “Bloom Bloom” on Billboard.

Sunwoo also spoke a bit about what it’s like being in a boy band with 12 members, while Jacob offered up some good advice he had heard recently: “Just keep smiling.”
