The Bloody Beetroots’ Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo is celebrating 10 years of faithful service to the electro scene. His wild, rock-tinged sound has made ears ring from every corner of the world, and has led to collaborations with dance and rock icons alike, from Steve Aoki to Paul McCartney, Peter Frampton, and more.
His last single “May Name is Thunder” tapped Jet, but today, he drops a massive, AC/DC-level solo anthem. “Saint Bass City Rockers” sounds like lightning striking a stadium full of leather jackets. It’s heavily electronic, but its heart bleeds rock ‘n’ roll.
“A long voyage, an electronic mantra that is articulated with different melodies, touching various spots around the world, from California, India, Norway and England,” Rifo rhapsodizes in a press release. “I imagined this voyage as I wrote the song.”
“My Name is Thunder” and “Saint City Bass Rockers” are all lead up to a forthcoming album. You can catch all the hits old and new when The Bloody Beetroots comes to a city near you on a Fall 2017 North American tour. Check the dates and listen to “Saint City Bass Rockers” below.
