
Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney might have to take a break from his duties behind the kit for a while.

Carney, who plays in blues-rock duo The Black Keys alongside guitarist/singer Dan Auerbach, dislocated his shoulder in St. Barths on Saturday (Jan. 3) after a giant wave slammed him to the ocean floor, TMZ reports.
The drummer was reportedly rushed to the emergency room and put under anesthesia. He’s now out of the hospital and recovering, according to TMZ.
Carney poked fun at the situation by posting a photo on Instagram with the caption: “Tune into my new lifetime movie. ‘Dislocated shoulder’ airing right now.”
The Black Keys scored its first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart with Turn Blue debuting at No. 1in May. The band is scheduled to begin touring arenas around the world in mid-February.
