The actress/ singer not only took home the “Favorite Humanitarian” award that night, but also landed on our best-dressed list. Hudson hit the carpet in a second skin white dress from Kaufmanfranco’s Spring 2014 collection.

Janelle Monae has impeccable style. No one can pull off androgynous threads like her. This is why we were so shocked when we spotted the singer on the red carpet for the Variety Breakthrough of the Year Awards at the Las Vegas Hotel & Casino on January 9.
Prior to her killer performance, Monae hit the scene in her signature black-and-white look complete with a funky Fausto Puglisi Fall 2013 tartan biker jacket complete with leather sleeves and gold detailing. The look fell a bit flat and Monae just wasn’t exuding her typical sophisticated charm. That jacket just destroyed the look for us.
