At the close of the workweek, we have sorted through countless looks from Saturday (April 20) to today (April 26) and selected the best and worst dressed of the bunch. Check out who is rocking killer threads and who needs to put their stylist on (permanent?) timeout this week.
Best: Frank Ocean
Frank Ocean gave the traditional tuxedo a funky twist at the 2013 Time 100 Gala on April 23 in New York City. The singer-songwriter stepped out looking classic yet fresh in head-to-toe Lanvin, rocking a white pleated-front tuxedo shirt paired with blue and black zebra-printed silk pants from the French label’s Fall 2012 collection. He polished his handsome look off with an oversized striped bow tie, a simple black overcoat, and fierce black lizard Lanvin shoes. We love Frank’s unconventional suited look, but even more so love his cool unimpressed facial expression.
Worst: Snoop Lion
Perhaps Snoop Lion needs to spend less time with nature’s herbs and more time on his style. Snoop popped by BET’s “106 & Park” at BET Studios on April 24 in New York City looking a bit in disarray. While we do appreciate Snoop’s relaxed style and nod to ’90s fashion, we are not loving his oversized jeans and puffy leather jacket. Sometimes bigger isn’t better. Snoop finished his mishmash look with a red shirt, matching sued kicks and some bling in the form of beaded necklaces. The rapper should take some style notes from our best-dressed artist of the week Frank Ocean. But oversized leather jackets aside, we are happy to see Snoop in something other then a purple pimp coat and gold cane.
