The Beatles’ reign won’t let up. The legendary pop quartet will be rolling out their 1+ compilation album, a deluxe reissue of their 2000 No. 1 hits collection 1, that’s set to include some 50 restored and never-commercially-released films and videos.
To kick off the festivities, the Fab Four released the new version of “A Day In The Life,” showcasing trippy footage of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and George Harrison alongside rock star pals Mick Jagger and Keith Richards. “A Day In The Life” was the penultimate track on the Beatles’ 1967 Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band LP.

“These videos and films are spectacular reminders of the era we lived in. They also rock!” Paul McCartney said in a statement to Mashable.
As Rolling Stone points out, footage from their early ’67 recording sessions are sprinkled throughout the clip, which was restored frame-by-frame in 4K resolution. You can expect each “mini movie” to feature Starr and McCartney’s exclusive audio commentary as well as a 124-page illustrated hardcover book.
