
Well, that was fast.
Just days after shutting down their social media accounts and posting a mysterious letter, it appears The 1975 are not breaking up. The British band have returned to Twitter and with some big news: new music is on its way and they also have plans to tour later this year.

The band has announced that a new album is “in production” in a new note posted online. The letter continues, “It’s creation signifies the end of the most inspiring and challenging time that we’ve ever shared as friends and as artists.”
“This is the beginning of a new chapter for The 1975,” frontman Matt Healy adds. “Our record signifies the start of a new world for us, a more colorful world a less colorful world.”

Additionally a slate of dates for November have been announced. The band will kick off the U.K. trek on Nov. 9 in Liverpool and wrap it up on Nov. 28 in Manchester.
