The 1975 have launched a mysterious countdown clock on their website. After announcing their next album would be titled Music For Cars last Thursday (April 27), the band wiped their social media platforms clean, and began posting strange posters throughout the U.K. and online. Their social posts are now back, along with a cryptic May 1 Instagram that reads “Hello.”
Now, a clock counting down to June 1 has appeared on the band’s official site, with a cinematic score swelling in the background as a scattered collection of images flash across the screen. The images include A.I. robots, a Cardi B music video, a Kanye West tweet and children laughing.
