While many, many One Direction fans were left heartbroken on Wednesday (Mar. 25) following the news that Zayn Malik was officially leaving 1D, at least one guy was only pretending to be devastated. Or so he claims.
One Direction’s Remaining Members Break Twitter Silence After Zayn Malik’s Exit
After Ben Berst posted a video of himself crying over Malik’s departure to social media, it was included in a montage segment of sad fans that aired on CBS. The video featured him sobbing, kissing a photo of Malik and crumpling it up.
After it aired, Berst took to Reddit to make his big reveal about the video. “I made a video pretending to care about One Direction. CBS aired it,” he wrote on the site.
No offense to Berst, but his acting isn’t Daniel Day-Lewis-level. CBS probably should have realized this was a fake.
He might not really be upset, but there are plenty of other fans who have taken to Twitter and Vine to express their feelings.
