Future house leader Tchami has released a multitude of essential tracks this year that embody the ascending genre, including his originals “Missing You” and “After Life,” in addition to his contagious remix of Jack Ü’s “Take Ü There.”
The French DJ is now expanding beyond his production talents and is diving into the business end of the industry. Billboard is exclusively revealing the announcement of his own record label, Confession.
“I want to help create a bigger picture for a song, an EP or any form of musical project that Confession will be involved with,” says Tchami. “I also love the idea of being more independent and giving artists, including myself, another option to release music.”
To celebrate the launch of the label, Tchami has released a minimix that teases five impending records on the label. Listen below:
With regards to building the label’s infrastructure, he says the process was “very organic.” Although he admits there is plenty of work ahead to maintain and grow the brand, he says these are “responsibilities that I am not afraid to take.” As for the house guru’s own projects, fans should expect an EP in 2016.
The imprint’s debut single will be “Hey Girl” by ANGELZ, set to be released Nov. 18, followed by “Notorious” by Malaa. Here is a sneak peak at their cover art:
