Taylor Swift turned up the heat at the VMAs preshow with the debut of her video for “Wildest Dreams,” the fifth single off the chart-topping 1989.
Co-starring model-turned-actor Scott Eastwood — who is, indeed, “so tall and handsome as hell” — the throwback video (set on Aug. 2, 1950 per an on-set clapperboard) shows the couple getting hot and heavy on the Serengeti. Swift and Eastwood canoodle among lions and zebras, Taylor clad in what seems to be Elizabeth Taylor-inspired garb. The dramatic video was directed by Joseph Kahn, who also was behind the camera for “Bad Blood” and “Blank Space.”
Swift is nominated for nine awards at tonight’s MTV VMAs, including Video of the Year for the enormous-posse-featuring “Bad Blood.”
