Now this is something everyone can get excited about.
On The View Wednesday morning (Oct. 29), Taylor Swift talked about her recent move to New York and how that move inspired her 1989 track “Welcome to New York.”
“The fans were wonderful enough to make it No. 1 on iTunes, and it is selling really, really well, which is good, because I’m donating all my proceeds to New York City public schools,” Swift shared about “Welcome to New York” on the program. Cue wild audience cheers.
Taylor Swift Named New York City Welcome Ambassador
This week, in addition to the 1989 album release, Swift has also partnered with NYC & Company as its global welcome ambassador for tourism. “I’m still learning, but I’m so enthusiastic about this city that when I love something, I’m very vocal about it,” Swift said of the title. “New York was a huge landscape for what became this album. It’s affected my life in ways I’m not even aware of fully.”
