When Taylor Swift isn’t busy writing and performing songs about heartbreak, she’s personally helping her fans get through it.
As is becoming a bit of a pattern, Swift responded to a fan’s confessional Tumblr post about a breakup, asking in a comment, “he just ended it, just like that?”
She then went on to give some big-sister #RealTalk (all her comments can be read courtesy of a reblog from another helpful fan). “It’s so devestating to come to terms with speaking with someone in the past tense when you used to see them as your present and future,” Swift wrote, in part. “…there is nothing wrong with avoiding people who hurt you. You fell in love, no games. Now you’re saying goodbye with no games. Protect yourself, please. I’m so sorry this happened.”
She also offtered the fan, Kasey, a breakup playlist (and avoided any self-promotion, a la “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together”).
This is really sweet, and also totally sounds like a verse from the killer future ballad “The Game (Is Over).”
