To accompany her sixth album, Reputation, Taylor Swift launched her The Swift Life app, which allowed Swifties to gather together within their own social network.
However, the app’s lifetime is coming to an end. According to an announcement made on Twitter Wednesday (Jan. 2), The Swift Life will shut down on Feb. 1, 2019, and new downloads are already unavailable. “Current fans have until this date to utilize the virtual currency they’ve accumulated,” the release reads. “Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.”
“We would like to thank all the dedicated fans who downloaded The Swift Life, engaged with this amazing community and created gorgeous pieces of content for others to enjoy,” the statement continues, before encouraging Swifties to keep up with the Taylor Nation social media pages.
