Alex Goldschmidt pulled off the surprise of a lifetime yesterday (Feb. 23) when, unbeknownst to his friends, family and fiance Ross Girard, he brought out none other than Taylor Swift for a special acoustic performance at their engagement party.
He had reached out to Swift via email and asked her to help them celebrate their big day, explaining that her song “King of My Heart” held special significance for the couple. Happy to oblige, Swift appeared at the party, acoustic guitar in hand, and serenaded them with the Reputation track.
“I’ve been off tour for a while, but hopefully it’s still alright,” she said. “This is from Alex. It’s sung by me, but it’s from Alex.”
