Taylor Swift never forgets about her biggest fans. Two years after she donated $10,000 to a 5-year-old boy with autism for a service dog, the superstar invited now-8-year-old Jacob Hill and his family to her show at NRG Stadium show in Houston.
Jacob, his therapy dog Reid, his mother Allison Hill and sister Jordan Fox, were seated front row and given backstage passes, where the boy met Swift. “Taylor Swift was so kind,” Allison said in a Facebook post by Autism Speaks.
“She said Reid was a big puffball and so cute. She was especially awesome with Jacob. She didn’t see my son’s disability she just saw him. She got down on her knees and looked him right in the eyes and said hello and that she was thankful HE came to her show even though she knew it was loud and there was so much going on.”
Back in 2016, Swift discovered Jacob’s 12-year-old sister and cousin Makaylee Duhon’s YouTube cover of “Blank Space,” which had cleverly edited lyrics that focused on Jacob’s donation page. “We got a long list of donations / But we don’t see your name / We got a blank space baby / So donate today,” they sang. The songstress and her mother then donated $10,00 to the GoFundMe page with the message, “Jacob, we hope you love your new dog! Please tell your cousins that they did a great job on the song! Love, Taylor and Andrea Swift.”
