
YouGov released its annual study on Friday (July 19) detailing which public figures the public looks up to, and both Taylor Swift and Madonna made the list.
Michelle Obama took Angelina Jolie’s place as No. 1 on the world’s most admired women list, with Oprah Winfrey at No. 2 and Jolie at No. 3. Swift and Madonna sit at No. 10 and 11, respectively.

The study interviewed more than 42,000 people in 41 countries to achieve their results. Other women on the list include Queen Elizabeth II, Emma Watson, Hillary Clinton, Priyanka Chopra and Ellen DeGeneres, among others.
The top five men on the world’s most admired list include (in order) Bill Gates, Barack Obama, Jackie Chan, Xi Jinping and Jack Ma.
