Tame Impala takes you on another trip with its latest single, “Cause I’m A Man.” Though it’s not in the direction you’d expect the Aussie psychedelic rock outfit to depart for.
“Cause I’m A Man” has a touch of soul about it. And at four minutes, it’s an almost conventional length and roughly half as long as the act’s previous single release, the epic “Let It Happen” which dropped last month.

The two latest tracks were “sketched out in planes, cars, hotels and homes since the completion of Tame Impala’s worldwide critically acclaimed Lonerism in 2012,” according to the group’s Australian label home, Modular. Kevin Parker wrote recorded, produced, mixed and performed the tracks in his hometown of Fremantle, Western Australia.
“Cause I’m A Man” is lifted from Tame Impala’s third album, Currents, and it’s the first official single from it. The track has its official release Tuesday (April 7) across myriad digital platforms.
