Former Auto-Tune maestro T-Pain returns with a mid-tempo groove and wanders the streets alone in the music video for “5 O’clock,” the first single off his upcoming album “RevolveR” which features Wiz Khalifa and Lily Allen.

The video features an emotional T-Pain strolling the late night streets solo, looking like he’s about to cry, and struggling to get in contact with his music video girlfriend/booty call, “Lily.” The poor girl looks distraught and worried about her R&B boo, texting T-Pain and glumly singing her sampled vocals as she waits on her love. Khalifa makes a guest appearance, with a confident, sexual verse that shows no qualms about showing up at your girlfriend’s place at 5 AM.
T-Pain’s fourth studio album, “RevolveR,” has no release date but is expected to be out this year, although his signature Auto-Tune effect will not be present on the release. “You can’t stick with one thing forever,” T-Pain, who engineered “The T-Pain Effect” as a replacement, told Billboard in July. “After you figure out how stuff works, you’ve got to start making your own. When everybody talks about (Auto-Tune), they pretty much say T-Pain. So what simpler thing to do? It’s supply and demand. You want the T-Pain sound? I’m gonna give you the T-Pain effect.”
T-Pain is currently on tour with Chris Brown, and will make a stop Friday night (Sept. 30) in Uniondale, N.Y.
