Imagine a Nordic singer, delivering a gorgeous version of a John Lennon classic that immediately brings a tear to the eye. That’s exactly what happened when Chris Kläfford stopped by America’s Got Talent on Tuesday night for a very special audition.
The hirsute Swede charmed the crowd and judges before sharing an acoustic cover of Lennon’s “Imagine,” which literally dripped with emotion.
“You sing from the heart, you wear your heart onn your sleeve. We can all feel that,” remarked Howie Mandel after the performance.
“I love people who can reinterpret a song, and you did something special,” noted Simon Cowell.
