Update: Swedish House Mafia has confirmed that they will be performing in Mexico City at Foro Sol on May 5, 2019. The news was revealed via their official website. Foro Sol can hold up to 26,000 people.
We know Swedish House Mafia are set to perform in their native Stockholm, and we know the revived trio will release new music for a forthcoming tour, but we didn’t know where that tour would take them — until now.
All three of SHM’s members shared an Instagram post that simply said “Mexico City” three times. The three-stack approach is standard for SHM news. Indeed, it is the same style of post that announced the Stockholm show, so fans are taking this to mean a Mexico City set is on the schedule. We don’t have a date or even a post caption from which to draw more clues, so we still need to stay tuned.
A joint press conference saw the three producers and DJs confirm the tour and new music earlier this month. Duo Axwell & Ingrosso and solo artist Steve Angello have continued to release music in the five years since SHM’s hiatus, but the trio says those projects will be placed on hold at least until the reunion tour is finished.
