On Tuesday (June 26), the Supreme Court upheld President Trump’s controversial travel ban in a 5-4 decision that will regulate immigration from Iran, North Korea, Syria, Libya, Yemen, Somalia and Venezuela.
The decision ruled that Trump’s ban is constitutional, and found that developing such a law fell within the president’s authority. Celebrities from Lin-Manuel Miranda to Morgan Freeman took to Twitter to voice their opinions following the monumental decision.

The protesting of the SCOTUS decision is admirable. I only wish the same passion was evident at the polls last November, when we were electing the President who would appoint the next Justice (Merrick Garland debacle notwithstanding). Let us hope the turnout is better this fall.
