On Monday (Jan. 7), Entravision Radio pop KSSE (Super Estrella)/Los Angeles will launch a new morning show called “La Regadera con La Chokolata,” which will be hosted by Ysaac Alvarez and Oswaldo Diaz.
Alvarez is the host of Super Estrella’s current morning show, “La Regadera,” and Diaz is the host of afternoon show “Erazno y La Chokolata” on the company’s regional Mexican KLYY (Oye)/Riverside. La Chokolata is one of the characters Diaz voices, and that character will co-host “La Regadera con La Chokolata.” Diaz’ other characters, like Erazno, Doggie and Chente, will also make appearances on the new morning show.
“La Regadera con La Chokolata” will also simulcast on KLYY and will be syndicated on Super Estrella network stations KVVA and KDVA/Phoenix; KJMN/Denver; KXSE/Sacramento; KRRN/Las Vegas; KYSE/El Paso; KSEH/El Centro, Calif.-Yuma, Ariz.; KSES/Salinas, Calif.; KRZY/Albuquerque; and KTSE/Modesto, Calif, as well as on regional Mexican Tri Color network outlets KLNZ/Phoenix; KQRT/Las Vegas; KLOK/Salinas; and KBZO/Lubbock, Texas.
“Oswaldo is a great talent, and we really believe in him,” Entravision Radio/L.A. VP/GM Karl Meyer told R&R. “We wanted to make some noise and give the audience something different. With Ysaac and Oswaldo on the new show, our goals and expectations are very high.”
Taly Taly, who currently co-hosts with Ysaac on “La Regadera,” is expected to move back to middays.
