Ryan McKenna, the 13-year-old boy who snapped a selfie with pop megastar Justin Timberlake during his halftime performance at Super Bowl LII, has now become a social media sensation — all in good, fun of course.
The young teen snapped a photo with Timberlake during his set and then looked down at his phone amid all the singing and dancing. That’s when Twitter’s latest meme was born, which the Internet has now officially dubbed “Super Bowl selfie kid.”
Not even 24 hours since the Big Game aired, countless posts have surfaced online gently poking fun at the teen, who appeared to be more interested in his phone than the performance right before his eyes.
