Sundance Head — the newly crowned winner of The Voice — rocked the NBC show’s finale in a big way joining KISS for a rocking medley of songs Tuesday night (Dec. 13).
Head, the son of Treat Her Right singer Roy Head, took to the stage for a double shot of classic KISS. He strapped on a guitar and performed the songs “Detroit Rock City” — jumping in vocally for the lines “getting late, I just can’t wait” — and concluding with the anthem, “Rock and Roll All Nite.”

Head competed as a member of Blake Shelton’s Voice team and previously appeared on the sixth season of American Idol in 2007, though never made it past the top 16. He subsequently signed with Universal Motown, but told reporters on a conference call in September that he “rode the contract out” when the label didn’t release any music after four years.
Head is now a part of KISS-tory, joining the ranks of Idol Season 8 runner-up Adam Lambert and Season 13 winner Caleb Johnson as reality TV stars who’ve share the stage with KISS in a finale. Lambert performed “Beth” and “Detroit Rock City” while Johnson teamed with the band for “Love Gun” and “Shout it Out Loud.”
Johnson opened for KISS this summer. He also makes history as the first American Idol alum to win The Voice.
