This year’s Street Scene festival has been moved from San Diego’s Del Mar Fairgrounds to Chula Vista, Calif.’s Coors Amphitheatre, according to Live Nation, which is producing Street Scene 2007 in conjunction with Rob Hagey Productions.
The event, scheduled to feature such acts as the Killers, Muse and Panic! At the Disco, is still set for Sept. 22-23. All tickets bought for the Del Mar Fairgrounds location will be honored, and refunds are available at point-of-purchase.
After the initial June 23 onsale, “Live Nation made the determination to move Street Scene to the more intimate setting of the Coors Amphitheatre,” Live Nation said in a statement. “The new location not only offers fans an unprecedented concert experience, but also ensures continued vitality and future growth for Scene, which is already one of the most notable brands in the country.”
The Los Angeles-based promoter declined to elaborate further.
Two-day passes cost $120, while VIP packages started at $300. Both were still available at press time. Prices for single-day tickets, which go on sale Aug. 18, have not been announced.
Among the other acts confirmed to appear at Street Scene are Arctic Monkeys, Social Distortion, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Ozomatli, Fair To Midland, Air, Gym Class Heroes, Slightly Stoopid, Mute Math and Mika.
