Soundgarden, along with the Chris Cornell Estate, UMe and Artists Den, announced on Thursday (May 16) an incredible lineup of products and immersive events for Soundgarden: Live From the Artists Den. The series of experiences hope to reimagine the 2013 taping of the band’s previous Artists Den concert taping with stops in Los Angeles, New York and the group’s hometown of Seattle.
The 29-song, two-hour show, which includes hits like “Outshined,” “Black Hole Sun,” “By Crooked Steps” and “Been Away Too Long,” will be released on a Soundgarden concert film and live album.
In addition, a limited-edition Super Deluxe box will feature the complete concert film, plus more than 30 minutes of bonus interviews with the band, in addition to four black 180-gram audiophile LPs, 2 CDs, a 40-page photo book, four band member lithos, a replica artist all-access pass and ticket stub from the original show. The digital live album and digital live video will be available for preorder on May 31.
The immersive events throughout June will include a screening of the full 29-song show in New York and Los Angeles, as well as an additional screening in Seattle.
“We were very proud and excited to document the performance of our new material from King Animal, and to celebrate with each other and our fans,” Soundgarden guitarist Kim Thayil said in a statement.
“This live show was really special, and I know how much fun Chris had that night. The idea of giving fans the opportunity to experience it in its entirety is something I’m proud to share with them,” Vicky Cornell mirrored in a statement.
Soundgarden: Live from the Artists Den is out July 26, 2019. Tickets for the immersive events will go on sale May 16 at 5p.m. EST/PST here as an exclusive bundle which includes the CD. Check out more info here.
