Andrew Hoppe, Sydney-based managing director of the Australian operations of Asia-Pacific digital-music services company Soundbuzz, has left the company. He is expected to be announced next week as director of programming and production for new music-TV network VH-1 Australia, which is scheduled for a March launch.
Hoppe was previously at MTV Asia before being appointed to run the Australian operations of Singapore-headquartered Soundbuzz by CEO Sudhanshu Sarronwala.
Hoppe will be replaced by Paul Buchanan, Soundbuzz Australia’s marketing director for the past three years.
Buchanan’s previous posts have included creative manager at Sony Music Publishing, label manager for Australian artists at Sony Music, manager of hip-hop outfit Sound Unlimited Posse and event director of the Sydney music conference Pacific Circle Music Expo 2000.
