Singapore-based digital music-services provider Soundbuzz has struck a deal with recently-established Indonesian mobile carrier 3 Indonesia.
Together, the two companies will provide a full-track mobile-download service, featuring repertoire from labels such as Universal Music Indonesia, Sony BMG and Musica Studio.
Full songs will retail at a price of $1.02 for delivery to mobile, or $1.13 to have songs delivered to both handsets and PCs with Soundbuzz’s “Dual Delivery” service.
“Partnering with 3 Indonesia for provision of our Dual Delivery service is an important milestone for Soundbuzz,” said Soundbuzz Asia GM Yen Ong in a statement.
“This is only the second market in Asia, after Australia, where a Dual Delivery music service has been launched, and Soundbuzz has developed and delivered the products in both countries.”
Commented 3 Indonesia chief marketing officer Suresh Reddy in a statement: “The launch of our new music service effectively removes the technology pain for consumers by offering them a single point of purchase and delivery for their music. Soundbuzz’s Dual Delivery technology was critical to the success of this deployment.”
