London-based artist management firm Empire Management is entering the music publishing field through an agreement with Sony/ATV Music Publishing U.K.
Empire Management co-founders and directors Neale Easterby and Richard Ramsey will work exclusively with Sony/ATV to source new and existing songwriting talent and copyrights for the new company, Empire Artist Music Limited. Sony/ATV U.K. will sub-publish Empire Artist Music globally. Terms were not disclosed.
“This is a natural extension of our existing operations and we are relishing the chance to build a roster of world-class songwriters,” comments Easterby in a statement.
Sony/ATV Music U.K. managing director Rak Sanghvi notes, ” I have been a great admirer of Neale and Richard for a long time and when this opportunity to work together came along I jumped at the chance.
Easterby and Ramsey currently manage a roster of artists include sibling pop stars Daniel and Natasha Bedingfield, the Feeling, Lucie Silvas and Estelle, among others.
