Sony/ATV Music Publishing has appointed Joseph Puzio as CFO for the publisher’s worldwide operations. Marty Bandier, chairman/CEO of Sony/ATV, confirmed the appointment today.
In his new capacity, Puzio will be responsible for all aspects of Sony/ATV’s worldwide financial operations including reporting, accounting, compliance, budget and administration. Global royalties, IT and human resources will also report to him.
Puzio was most recently with the sports marketing firm IMG, where he was senior VP worldwide finance. Prior to joining IMG, Puzio spent more than 16 years at EMI Music Publishing when Bandier was chairman/CEO of the publisher. Puzio worked directly under Bandier’s leadership as executive VP worldwide finance for 10 of those years.
“Joe had been the solid backbone to my worldwide finance operation in my prior life at EMI,” says Bandier. “Sony/ATV is growing by leaps and bounds, and we soon needed someone with Joe’s experience in running the administration of a major global music publisher. I am thrilled that Joe agreed to join the team here.”
Puzio is based in the New York headquarters of Sony/ATV and reports to Bandier.
