As expected, Jacek Jaglowski has been installed as the new managing director of Sony BMG Poland. The former Universal and Warner Music Poland executive replaces the company’s director general Piotr Mackowiak, who split with the company in June.
At the same time, Jaglowski has made a raft of organizational changes, which effect the promotions, marketing and A&R departments.
A&R director Kris Krysiak is out. Michal Kwiatek will assume Krysiak’s responsibilities in addition to his current activities as marketing director of local repertoire.
Promotions director Jarek Burdek, who recently joined the company from MTV Poland, will be replaced by BMG Poland promotions executive Joanna Gajewska. Marketing director Jakub Jablonka has also split with the company. A replacement has yet to be named.
“This is not yet the end of the personnel changes at Sony BMG Poland,” comments Jaglowski. He added that the company’s executives would be required to deliver “better quarterly reports but also improve the functioning of the company on the music market and our rapport with local artists.”
Based in Warsaw, Jaglowski reports to Sony BMG Continental Europe president Maarten Steinkamp.
