Maarten Steinkamp, head of Sony BMG Music Entertainment’s continental Europe operations, has made three key appointments.
Jacques Campet has been named senior VP for continental Europe. He was most recently senior VP of Europe for Sony Music, where he oversaw operations, finance and IT. He also had responsibilities for Eastern Europe, Russia, Turkey, South Africa and the Middle East. Prior to that, Campet was senior VP of Sony Music France.
Soeren Hinsch has been named VP of continental Europe. He previously served as VP of BMG International, where he handled day-to-day managment while also having direct responsibility for Eastern Europe and Scandinavia.
Campet and Hinsch, who are both based in London, will oversee day-to-day business for continental Europe.
Additionally, Sony BMG has named Bert Meyer as senior VP of continental Europe repertoire. He was VP of continental Europe repertoire for BMG, which he joined after nearly 20 years at Zomba.
Meyer, who is based in both London and Hilversum, the Netherlands, will oversee the regional repertoire flow and will coordinate exploitation within and outside of the region. He will also assist with A&R strategies.
All three execs report to Steinkamp.
