Sony BMG Benelux will cut 40 staffers as part of its reorganization. The move will leave the integrated operation with 110 employees.
Sony BMG Benelux managing director Rob Schouw informed his team of the new structure on Dec 20.
The operation in the Netherlands will comprise 80 people, headed by GM Jurgen Post, formerly GM of BMG Netherlands. In Belgium, the company will operate with a staff of 30 under GM Koen van Bockstal, who previously held that title at Sony in the territory. Both executives report to Schouw.
Redundancy procedures for the 40 staffers will be initiated at the beginning of the year, according to the labor laws in both countries. The process is expected take several weeks.
