Solange Knowles’ business and creative partner Armina Mussa, 24, is in critical condition after she was stabbed 10 times on Wednesday, Billboard has confirmed.
The police have arrested and booked a suspect, 26-year-old Arronesia Christophe, for second-degree murder after allegedly stabbing Mussa “outside a home in the 2200 block of N. Derbigny Street” in the New Orleans St. Roch area, according to Nola.com, which first reported the news. According to records filed at Orleans Parish Criminal District Court, Christophe was arrested at the location of the stabbing on Wednesday, around 7:03 p.m. by New Orleans police.
Courthouse sources told Nola.com that Solange attended Christophe’s first appearance at Orleans Parish Criminal Court on Thursday.
A rep for Solange tells Billboard that Solange was not present at the time or location of the incident; she was in Los Angeles. As soon as Solange heard of the devastating news, she rushed to New Orleans and has been at the side of Mussa and her family ever since.
Mussa is the project director of Solange’s brand and creative platform, Saint Heron, and co-owner of New Orleans French Quarter boutique, Exodus Goods.
