Saturday Night Live isn’t letting embattled actor Jussie Smollett off the hook just yet.
In a Match 30 sketch with host Sandra Oh, Smollett (played by SNL‘s Chris Redd) is late to a network meeting with the makers of Empire and tries to blame his tardiness on yet another vicious attack. Oh, who plays Smollett’s representative, tries to make up excuses on his behalf.
“Guys, you are not going to believe what just happened to me,” Redd’s Smollett tells the network execs, which includes Empire creator Lee Daniels, played by SNL‘s Kenan Thompson.
Redd’s Smollett, who is wearing a red Make America Great Again, then brings out a bag of clues his attackers left for him, including Crest White Strips, a Teletubby, and KKK block letters.
“I’m the gay Mike Tyson,” the actor insists to the group, who suggests he call the police. “They said I can never call again,” Redd’s Smollett replies.
