When you think of Slayer, chances are that the first thing that pops into your mind isn’t the sound of a banjo. Well, YouTuber Rob Scallon just crossed genres and blew our mind.
Posted three days ago, the video has already racked up almost a million views and it’s pretty obvious why. The dude’s got skills.
Sadly, Scallon “won’t be playing Slayer covers on tour,” he writes in the comments sections of the cover’s YouTube page. “But I will be traveling the US playing ‘non-metal’ with my 8 string next month.”
Also, Slayer frontman Dave Lombardo’s been working on “the music to a cartoon pilot for Disney,” so keep an eye out for that.
